Hi,

I have learned this piece by Miguel Angel Cortes (to some extent!) I know it isn't a guarija. Someone in the comments section suggests that it is a zapateado. Any help?

Thanks

It sounds more like guajiras to me. The letra resembles guajiras more than anything else. I have heard him playing those falsetas on his CD, I just can't find the CD to see what it says.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. But it's not Zapateado. Zapateado is usually played faster and it switches between 2/4 and 6/8 feel.
